Founded by the Barry Family in 2011, our first wines were released in 2014. Our goal is to make wines that reflect the vintage with as little manipulation as possible.
Ian Barry (Winemaker)- Ian began his involvement with vineyard work and wine production in the Hudson Valley in the Spring of 1997 when he answered an ad in his college's job book looking for part time help. This lead to a position as a wine buyer at a fine wine shop, an internship at a "cult" Pinot noir producer in Oregon, and a Winemaker position in western Washington State. In 2003 Ian returned to New York, but this time to the Finger Lakes. He's worked for several top wineries producing wines that have earned several 90+ point scores and two Governors Cups. With Barry Family Cellars Ian is excited to focus solely on the wines and production methods that peak his interest.
